Jojo was found curled up with another stray dog on some tattered blankets along the side of a busy highway in Sakarya, a province in Turkey located on the coast of the Black Sea. Rescuers brought Jojo and her friend to our rescue facility in Istanbul. Jojo was timid and shy and in desperate need of a makeover. Her fur was so matted that she had to be shaved from head to toe. The condition of her coat was proof of how tough life can be living on the streets.
Now that her makeover is complete, Jojo is ready to cherish the good life where food is plentiful and soft; fluffy beds are made just for her. Jojo likes to roll on her back in submission…and yes, she will love it if you rub her belly…but will do best with someone who can continue to build her confidence. She’s very good with dogs, so perhaps another friendly dog will give her just the courage she needs. We believe she will also be okay around cats. Jojo is approximately 2-3 years old and weighs around 35 lbs. She is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and has no known medical issues.
